Chicken Livers maybe frowned at because it is not the most consumed part of a meat in the market. It is a popular beer snack or as a stand alone appetizer. We love to try different ways to to cook with livers. You can sauté, grill, fry or roast them. It is versatile item that anyone should at least try once in their lifetime. It may not be to everyone’s liking but there is nothing to lose to try it once. As long as you prepared it right, you cannot go wrong with it. We hope you will try this out!

Easy Garlic Chicken Livers

A quick and easy recipe for the novice cook who wants to try new dishes right away. The garlic flavor is a popular ingredient to pair with livers.

Ingredients
  

  • 1.25 lbs raw chicken livers
  • 10-12 cloves garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil

Instructions
 

  • Peel and crush garlic cloves using a mortar and pestle or food processor.
  • Rinse livers under cold water. Let it stand to drain water out completely.
  • Heat oil over medium high heat.
  • Add garlic and sauté for a minute. Add the livers and turn the heat to medium-low. cover
  • Add 1/4 cup water if needed. Cook until livers turn dark brown and cooked through.
  • Serve immediately.
